Both my nephew (on his auto) and his friend riding in the school boy class really enjoyed their first race of the year and can't wait for the next race.
My partner did the Marshall part in the morning, and to be quite blunt it was dire. To be out there for nearly 4 hours with out a drink etc... was poor. We were told that you would only Marshall your race, oh how wrong that was!! We have bikes to maintain and lucky for me nothing went wrong. I can see why some people don't want to Marshall. Overall a good day had by all. Track was excellent. |

| Who ever told you that you only marshall for your race as you will have gathered was wrong! Every race meeting you marshall you marshall for either the morning or the afternoon. Usually change over is after the second race in the second block of racing.I know that to be out there for that amount of time without food or drink or even the loo is hard sometimes but you learn in the end to take out provisions with you!(not loo wise obviously!!) But I enjoy marshalling as it make me feel involved and part of the racing . |

When we rang to join the club we were told then.
I understand what you are saying, but to be given the wrong information at the start, doesn't make the club look good.
They all enjoy the track and it's a good track to start racing on.
I just wish that the correct information was given at the start, then we could have made provisions and taken them out to the marshaling point.
Thank you for your input. |
