I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT ALL THOSE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY ABOUT THE STATE OF THE TRACK AND HOW IT IS MAINTAINED, SHOULD ON THE ODD OCCASION, REMEMBER THAT THE PEOPLE WHO DO THE TRACK MAINTENANCE DO SO IN THERE OWN TIME AND AT THERE OWN EXPENSE. INSTEAD OF POSTING RUDE MESSAGES ON THE FORUM WHY DON'T THESE "SO-CALLED MEMBERS" SPEAK TO THE PEOPLE PERSONALLY. I HAVE A RIDER IN THE BIG WHEEL GROUP AND YES I DID THINK THE TRACK WAS VERY WET AT THE LAST MEETING, BUT WE TOOK THE TIME TO ASK WHY IT WAS LIKE THIS AND WAS TOLD THE REAL REASON.

IF THESE PEOPLE DO FEEL THAT THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO HELP RUN THE CLUB BETTER THEN WHERE ARE THEY AT THE ANNUAL AGM MEETINGS!!!

What was the real reason then ?
And why was this not told at the beginning of the meeting to all.....
I hardly think the comments on this forum are rude.. Just people passing there opinion and concern for the younger riders...
The club and track have been enjoyed by most.. But over the last few meetings, we and alot of other members have been very disappointed for the following reasons...
Poor track maintainance..
Lack of organisation..
Poor lap keeping due to poor track maintenance..
Rude officials, where there is no need...
Total lack of manners from some committee members (NOT ALL)..
What happened to NO MARSHALL NO RIDE... as we all know some get away with this rule..
I know we are not all committee members, BUT we do pay a fee to join the PJMC and we pay every race meet to ride...
Just a thought!! Why not do a post box for ideas on how to improve things, work through them !!! and get the club back to the standard it used to be...Cause we all loved it then... I am sure I speak for alot of members.. PLUS if you need help !!! Just ask people !!!

THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS, YOU ALL KNOW WHO DOES THE TRACK MAINTENANCE, SO YOU KNOW WHO TO ASK WHY IT WAS SO WET. AS TO YOUR OTHER COMMENTS, LAPSCORING IS NOT AN EASY JOB BUT I'M SURE IF YOU WANTED TO HAVE A GO THEN YOU WOULD BE MOST WELCOME. WITH REGARD YOUR COMMENT ON NO MARSHALL NO RIDE. IF YOU CAN TELL US WHO THESE PEOPLE ARE THAT DON'T MARSHALL, THEN WE WILL CERTAINLY TRY TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

IF YOU HAVE ANY GREAT IDEAS ON HOW TO IMPROVE THE CLUB PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LET A COMMITTEE MEMBER HEAR THESE

I appreciate that, the maintanace of the track is done out of their own time, however doesnt it say that this is a junior motocross club. and the track is being watered for the adults, as it gets very dusty, and its hard to get the balance between. The start straight is over watered as the autos proved to us last few race meets, to solve this problem all that is needed is-
1. a finer spay on the bowser.
2. to be watered over the days before not the day we are racing.

My commments were indeed not to say that lapscoring was easy, but to highlight some problems I,we,and a lot of members feel and that these would taken on board and hopofully inproved on.
Smile On a much more positive note
sundays meeting (13th) the news letter informing ALL regarding track conditions, complaints, etc can only be deemed a good idea and a step in the write direction.
Pratice and racing starting on time.
AND A BIG WELL DONE TO ALL THE YOUNGER RIDERS giving it there best shot in the 2nd block despite the on set of the dreadfull weather and to the pick up marshells who were kept busy.it was a bit like wacky races
and wasnt it good to have a commentator back.
WELL DONE.
cheers

Right on Madmax.
Great day, even though it rained, good racing and the youngsters gave it their all, totally knackerd after pick up though, but great fun all the same.
The whole day seemed to run a lot better, well done PJMC. Looking forward to the next one!

I am really pleased to see the forum getting some use at last, and to see this thread take on a more positive note.

Lap scoring must be a nightmare when all your numbers are covered in mud. I know how long it took me to sort sort the pictures last time, and some I just could not identify. Looks like the weather played havoc with you yesterday, as it did for me with the jetski racing. Fingers crossed for better weather in a fortnight.

Deb,

With regard to marshalling and i know we have a new man on the job (give him time), it is easy to find out who doesn't provide marshalls if records are kept for each meeting.

On the 13th there where 110 riders and we have 22 marshall points (some with 2 marshalls) plus lap scorers say 54 in total for the day, but still had to ask for volunteers.

I assume that all the riders that didn't provide marshalls on the 13th, have been recorded and as they book in at the next meeting will be MADE to provide marshalls.

I don't mind marshalling, sitting in the van is boring but it is annoying as it seems that the same people marshall meeting after meeting after meeting.

A GOOD EXAMPLE
The mother of one of the riders in the schoolboys has marshalled at every meeting this year, had some young children with her and asked to be excused marshalling for this meeting and was told marshall or no ride. She had to pay someone £20 pounds to cover for her.

THANKS FOR NOTING ABOUT MARSHALLING. IAN IS NEW TO THE JOB BUT HE IS ON THE BALL AND HE IS TRYING TO NOTE THE ONES THAT DON'T MARSHALL REGULARLY, BUT AS YOU CAN APPRECIATE IT'S NOT EASY MAKING SURE THEY ALL MARSHALL. YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE SOME OF THE EXCUSES PEOPLE USE!!! IF YOU DO KNOW WHO THESE PEOPLE ARE, MAKE SURE YOU LET IAN KNOW, IF HE DON'T HAVE A NAME HE CARN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!

ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS?

i think it may be a good idea to do a loyalty card scheme?
where you pay for 4 rides and get the 5th free, they do it at northampton and it seems like a good idea to me, they also do prize money but unless you win it really isnt worth it.
just some suggestions
hopefully sunday will be as good as the last meeting!!!
